Gordy Hastreiter

Gordy Hastreiter has been fishing the Lakeland Area his entire life. His Grandfather was legendary guide Shorty Landers. Over Gordy’s career he has notched numerous top ten finishes in muskie and walleye tournaments. Gordy fishes for anything that swims, and is always experimenting with new and better techniques to help him and his clients boat more fish. He targets smallmouth, largemouth, muskie, walleye, northern, lake trout, and panfish throughout the open water and ice fishing seasons. His preferred techniques include deep water muskies, live bait and rowtrolling for trophy walleyes, and flowage smallmouths. Gordy has experience on many of the lakes that cover the Lakeland Area, and is always on top of the best lake at any given time. Gordy is known for not only his fishing skills, but his high energy level and positive attitude while on the water. Gordy fishes out of a 17 foot Lund.

Jason Sloan

Jason Sloan started guiding guests at his Grandparents’ resort when he was 8, and has been fishing the Lakeland Area his entire life. He has placed in the top ten in many area walleye tournaments and guided a third place finish in the Vilas County Musky Marathon. Jason’s specialties are rowtrolling for muskie and trophy walleyes, and icefishing for big pike. He also offers unique wilderness largemouth/panfish trips, consisting of difficult access lakes and fishing in true wilderness for big bass. A day on the water with Jason will be a learning experience and a lot of fun. You will learn how different lakes cycle throughout the seasons, baitfish migrations and locations, and how to target and  consistantly find and catch suspended muskies and walleyes. As a fourth generation guide, he also has a lot of good stories on the lore of the Northwoods.  Jason, along with the rest of the crew, is a strong advocate for 100% release of all muskies, and selective harvest of other species.  It is up to us to preserve this fishery and teach others to do the same.
